Samsung QLED TV released two years after the release of a substantial increase in image quality

According to South Korea's Business Korea, Samsung’s next-generation QLED TV will be officially released as soon as 2 years later, and will not exceed 5 years at the latest.

Samsung’s current high-end TV series is based on quantum dot technology, but the display panel they use is still the standard LED LCD. This means that they still need a backlight to illuminate the pixels.

QLED TV will still use quantum dot technology, but the panel is replaced by OLED. A major feature of this panel is that the pixels are self-illuminating and therefore do not need a backlight.

There are many advantages to using OLED displays. First, they consume less power because not all pixels need to be lit at the same time. Since a single pixel can be completely turned off, this panel will be able to show a deeper and pure black.

At the same time, quantum dots can also bring a series of benefits to the display panel, including higher brightness peaks, better color accuracy, higher color protection, and lower power consumption. Combining it with OLED technology, you will get a TV with super power.

In fact, the timeline in this report is actually based on certain facts. Jason Hartlove, president of Nanosys, the world's largest quantum dot producer, mentioned in an interview with Business Korea that the company is currently developing quantum dot materials for QLEDs. QLED TVs that support QD technology will be released within 3-5 years.
