Lighting appliances promote the development of circular economy in the industry

Since the introduction of the idea of circular economy in the 1990s, China has followed the three basic principles of “reduction, reuse, recycling” and carried out different levels of research and practice in various industries and regions. Specific to the lighting electrical industry, also carried out a series of work to promote the development of circular economy in the lighting industry.

First of all, the lighting electrical products themselves have begun to become a carrier for the implementation of circular economy. With the continuous advancement of lighting technology, new high-efficiency lighting products are widely used, which has played an important role in promoting China's lighting and energy saving. Secondly, the production of lighting electrical products itself has gradually entered the track of healthy development with the development and progress of production technology, equipment and raw materials. Low-pollution, harmless production, recycling, separation, and reuse of used lighting electrical products have attracted more and more attention from manufacturers, and have achieved initial results through continuous exploration.

I. Lighting and Power Savings At present, China's lighting power consumption accounts for about 12% of the total electricity consumption of the society. The use of efficient lighting products to replace traditional high-energy lighting fixtures has great potential for saving electricity. China's green lighting project promotion project, which has been implemented since 1996 in China, is an important project for lighting and energy saving in China. It is also a successful example of reducing power consumption through the use of high-efficiency lighting products. According to the survey of China's green lighting project promotion project, from 1996 to 2005, China's green lighting project has saved 59 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in the past 10 years, equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide (carbon meter) emissions by 17 million tons and reducing sulfur dioxide emissions by 530,000 tons.

China's lighting industry has played a positive role in promoting the development of green lighting projects in China. The production ratio of fluorescent lamps and ordinary incandescent lamps in China has increased from 1:6.25 in 1995 to 1:5. In addition, new high-efficiency lighting products and technologies such as ceramic metal halide lamps and semiconductor lighting are emerging, and lighting is also saved for China. The field complements new forces and taps into new potential.

In the process of lighting and power saving work, the relevant departments of the state have successively issued laws, regulations and standard policies to promote the production and use of high-efficiency lighting products, which provides a favorable guarantee for reducing electricity consumption by using high-efficiency lighting products.

These laws, regulations, standards and policies include:

● In the Medium and Long-Term Plan for Energy Conservation Promulgated by the National Development and Reform Commission, the “Green Lighting Project” was included in one of the ten key energy-saving demonstration projects, providing a policy basis for the long-term development of lighting and energy-saving work.

● In the "2005 Industrial Structure Adjustment Guidance Catalogue", listed "new energy-saving lighting products, production technology development and supporting material technology development", "urban lighting intelligentization, green lighting products and system technology development" as encouraged products Or technology.

● The “Fluorescent Lighting for General Lighting” was included in the government procurement list of energy-saving products, which provided guarantee for the further promotion and use of energy-saving lighting products.

● Developed and implemented national energy efficiency standards for six lighting products, such as double-ended fluorescent lamps, self-ballasted fluorescent lamps, high-pressure sodium lamps, high-pressure sodium lamp ballasts, metal halide lamps and metal halide lamp ballasts.

● Developed and implemented the “Energy Efficiency Standard for Architectural Lighting”, which provides a standard basis for energy-saving design of architectural lighting.

● Conducted energy-saving certification for high-efficiency lighting products.

● The Ministry of Construction has formulated the “Outline for the Green Lighting Project of the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan”), which defines the key areas and work for the in-depth development of urban green lighting in the next five years.

● The Ministry of Construction issued the “Notice on Further Strengthening Urban Lighting Power Saving Work”, strictly restricting decorative landscape lighting, banned five high-energy lamps, and encouraged the use of high-efficiency electric light source products.

Second, the production of lighting electrical appliances in the field of lighting electrical appliances involves a wide range of raw materials, the use of rare earth, tungsten, molybdenum, lead, tin and other non-ferrous metals or rare metals in the production of electric light source products, also used in the production of lighting products Aluminum, iron, copper and other metal materials. Due to the production and process characteristics of lighting electrical products, it is determined that a large number of toxic and harmful substances are inevitably used in the production process, and mercury, lead and other substances are heavy metal substances that are seriously harmful to the environment and humans. How to effectively control the use, recycling and reuse of various raw materials in lighting electrical products is directly related to the sustainable development of the lighting electrical appliance production industry. In addition, in the production process of lighting electrical products, especially electric light source products, the discharge of waste water, waste gas and waste, as well as the recycling and disposal of waste products after disposal, are the key points for the development of circular economy in the lighting electrical industry.
The world is stirring up the investment boom of the LED industry. The speed of semiconductor lighting is expanding at a faster speed.
