On June 15, Weiqiao Textile, a listed company of Weiqiao Group, announced that it intends to sell assets in the Binzhou Economic Development Zone for RMB 698.5 million, mainly including thermal power plants with a rated installed capacity of 180 MW and other supporting assets and land use rights to the properties. , The recipient was Binzhou Zhonghai Venture Capital Co., Ltd.

For the shutting down of Binzhou Industrial Park thermal power plant, the interpretation given by the local government and Weiqiao was for local environment and urban planning.

According to industry sources, Weiqiao Group's electricity prices are no more than one-third lower than the national grid, regardless of whether it is industrial and commercial use of electricity, or residential electricity, and therefore have been criticized by stakeholders.
