Toyota Synthetic said that the increase in revenue was driven by the surge in sales of optoelectronics and LED components, including LED chips, LED bulbs and other LED-related products. In the last quarter, the revenue of the photovoltaic business unit was boosted by the increase in sales of LED products for tablet devices, which increased by 53.3% to 12.5 billion yen compared with the same period of last year. The profit from the loss of 100 million yen in the same period last year was converted to a surplus of 1.1 billion yen.
It is reported that Toyota Synthetic will maintain the original revenue of 560 billion yen (11.0% annual increase) and 30 billion yen for the combined revenue, profit and net profit target this year (April 2012-March 2013). It is 46.9% year-on-year and 19 billion yen (will increase by 111.8% year-on-year).
At present, Toyota Synthetic has partnered with Taiwan Jingdian, and at the end of 2010, it has established a joint venture with Tianhua and Toyota Synthetic Taiwan agent Twin Hill to develop, manufacture and sell LEDs.
