MEMS: Consumer and mobile markets will reach new heights

According to iSuppli, mobile phones and a series of new products will help the consumer and mobile MEMS sensor market, helping to maintain its strong continuous growth in 2010 and in the coming years.

For MEMS sensors and actuators for consumer electronics and mobile phones, sales in 2010 are expected to reach $1.5 billion, a 22.9% increase from the $1.3 billion in 2009. Unlike most industries, the consumer and mobile MEMS market is even in the global economy. There has been no decline in the peak of the recession, and it is expected that the four years from 2010 will maintain a growth rate of 17-28%.
