This dual-channel LED linear constant current control chip features line voltage compensation and thyristor dimming capabilities. Its patented constant current and power control technology ensures stable light output by monitoring the VT port voltage, maintaining consistent luminous flux even when input voltage fluctuates. Additionally, the chip includes an over-temperature protection function that automatically reduces output current when the temperature rises, enhancing system reliability.
From a design perspective, the SM2096E uses an ESOP8 package, making the peripheral circuit simple and cost-effective. This helps reduce manufacturing costs while maintaining high performance.
The SM2096E has two main applications: thyristor dimming and non-dimming solutions. In dimming scenarios, it significantly improves system efficiency, reaching up to 82%, with a line regulation of less than 10%. It supports a 9W/800LM dimming solution, making it ideal for energy-efficient lighting systems.
In non-dimming applications, the chip also enhances efficiency and achieves a power factor (PF) greater than 0.7, enabling a 9W/800LM non-dimming setup. The chip's versatility makes it suitable for various linear lighting products, including LED bulbs, downlights, and E14/E27 filament lamps.
