The dynamic lighting concept of the newly constructed stadium facade was developed by Berlin Lichtvision. Traxon has been involved in the project through Lichtvision since the early days.
Approximately 1,700 custom-made AC high-intensity line lights (XB36 high-protection) and red/white LEDs were installed on the stadium to illuminate the stadium enclosure in Polish flag colors (red and white). The facade of the building is controlled by an e:cues Light Control Engine (LCE) and Butler Micro Server, which can be used as a giant media screen to display the results of the race, the number of goals and other information. In addition, the 72 cylindrical tops of the stadium are equipped with 72 ç› cool white AC XB-36 high-brightness wall washers, one light and one dark, visually like the flashing starlight floating above the stadium.
Traxon said that the concept is focused on the complete integration of fixtures with translucent buildings. During the day, the building was barely noticed, and in the evening the entire stadium showed a completely different picture. Traxon won this year's two CEEQA (Central & Eastern European Real Estate Quality Award 2102) awards for this stadium design.
