First, the sound pressure level measurement

Measurement content:

Measure background noise level, measure sound field distribution, and measure noise frequency characteristics. It is possible to measure the real-time sound pressure level SPL of a certain frequency, as well as the real-time A sound level, C sound level, and L sound level.

Measurement steps:

Press the Setup key to select the first option in the building acoustics measurement mode. The spectrum of noise will appear on the screen, and the sound pressure level histogram of the spectrum will jump as the noise level changes. The histogram of the A, C, and L sound levels is displayed on the far right side of the screen.

To adjust the measured scale range, you need to press the TOPSCALE or DOWNSCALE soft switch in the “Five Definition Functions”. Press TOPSCALE to zoom out and press DOWNSCALE to expand.

Press the MeasControl button to display the measurement frequency range and measurement time. Move the cursor to the space to be set by pressing the up and down arrow, press the left and right small arrows to adjust the measurement settings, or enter the value directly. In this interface you can set 1/1 frequency or 1/3 frequency. Set the measurement frequency range according to the measurement needs. After setting, press ESC to return.

Press the left and right small arrows to move the frequency cursor, and the number in the upper left corner of the screen shows the instantaneous sound pressure level of the frequency at which the cursor is located.

Press the Display button to change the screen display mode, 1 channel -> 2 channel conversion.

Second, noise measurement

Measurement content:

Press the AVER soft switch to put the measurement results into the AVER average register for averaging. The general test results are based on three averages. Press the Aver/Last soft switch to display the data in the AVER register.

Pressing the Clear soft switch to clear the register settings clears the data in the AVER register.



Third, the reverberation time measurement

Measurement content:

Measure the reverberation time of the room. .

Measurement steps:

Connect the speaker and microphone to the specified interface.

Press the Setup key to select the last option in the building acoustics measurement mode. The fluctuation curve of the sound will appear on the screen.

To adjust the measured scale range, you need to press the TOPSCALE soft switch or the DOWNSCALE soft switch in the “five defined function keys”, press the TOPSCALE step to zoom out, and press the DOWNSCALE range to expand.

Press the MeasControl button to display the measurement frequency range, measurement time, and so on. Move the cursor to the space to be set by pressing the up and down arrow, press the left and right small arrows to adjust the measurement settings, or enter the value directly. In this interface you can set 1/1 frequency or 1/3 frequency. The measurement time, expected reverberation time, and noise excitation time are set according to the measurement needs. Set the measurement frequency range according to the measurement needs. The measurement time and noise excitation time should generally be more than three times the reverberation time. For cinemas, the general reverberation time is shorter. Within 1 second, the expected reverberation time can be set to 4 seconds, the measurement time is set to 3-6 seconds, and the noise excitation time is set to 3 seconds. When finished, press the ESC key to return.

Press the Generator button to display the noise generator setting interface, set the noise to Pink pink noise, and the synchronizer is in the ON state.

Press the Start button and the measurement starts. After the measurement is completed according to the set time, the instrument stops automatically. And calculate the reverberation time.

Measurement results:

Press the Num button and the screen will display the measurement results numerically.

Note: For low frequency or high frequency with insufficient energy, the signal-to-noise ratio may not be met, resulting in the failure to calculate the reverberation time correctly. Single-frequency measurement can be used to concentrate the noise power on the measurement frequency. When setting, press the MeasControl button. After the setting interface appears, select the Serial mode in the measurement mode. Press the ESC key to return. Move the cursor to the frequency to be measured and measure as described above to obtain the reverberation time of a certain frequency.



Fourth, sound insulation measurement

According to the measurement method (2), the vocal noise and the received noise on both sides of the partition wall are recorded separately, and the noise difference is calculated.



V. Nc noise index measurement

According to the measurement method (2), the octave spectrum of the noise is recorded, and the NC index is calculated based on the measured data.
