In recent years, China's smart micro-projector market has experienced explosive growth, with more and more people choosing to incorporate intelligent micro-projectors into their homes. Many of my friends have asked me about how to choose the best smart micro-projector, and the most common question is whether resolution or brightness is more important.
Brightness or Resolution? Smart Micro-Projectors: Which Should You Prioritize?
Many users tend to focus on resolution when purchasing a smart micro-projector, often overlooking the importance of brightness. While resolution does affect image clarity, it’s not enough on its own. Without sufficient brightness, even the highest resolution won’t make a difference. After all, what’s the point of a sharp image if it’s washed out or hard to see?
Brightness is the core of intelligent micro-projection. Without it, everything else is meaningless.
Brightness and resolution are both essential factors in smart micro-projectors, as well as in traditional home and commercial projectors. However, in the context of smart micro-projectors, I personally believe that brightness should be prioritized over resolution, though this depends on your usage scenario.
If you frequently change your usage environment, brightness becomes more critical. Unlike traditional projectors, smart micro-projectors are designed for portability and flexibility. Many of my friends use them in different settings—whether at a friend’s house, during business presentations, or for casual movie nights. In these situations, the ability to project clearly in varying lighting conditions is key.
The biggest feature of intelligent micro-projectors is their flexible usage scenarios.
For example, when presenting a PowerPoint to a client, readability of text is more important than ultra-high resolution. On the other hand, if the projector lacks sufficient brightness, the image will appear dim and unclear. That’s why I think brightness is the real core of a smart micro-projector.
Many micro-projectors don’t need to cast large screens at all.
Additionally, many users don’t project large screens in daily use. Instead, they use micro-projectors as a supplement to their regular viewing. In such cases, projecting a small screen (like 30–40 inches) makes the difference between WXGA and 1080P resolution almost imperceptible. So, for these users, there’s no need to go for the highest resolution.
If you have a dedicated AV room with good light control, then resolution becomes more important. In such an environment, high-resolution images can truly shine, offering a more immersive experience.
In a professional audio-visual room, brightness isn't a major concern.
However, with the price of 4K projectors dropping significantly, and 1080P models expected to become even more affordable, the choice becomes clearer. If you have a fixed setup with a dedicated screen, a full-sized home projector might be a better option than a micro-projector.
If you have a big screen at home, a full-sized projector is more suitable than a smart micro-projector.
In summary, both brightness and resolution are important, but their significance depends on your usage scenario. For those who travel often or only project small screens, brightness should be the top priority. For those with a controlled AV environment, higher resolution is the way to go. Ultimately, the right choice depends on how you plan to use your smart micro-projector.
Hot Forging
Forging is one of the two components of forging (forging and stamping), which is a processing method that makes use of forging machinery to exert pressure on metal billets and produce plastic deformation to obtain forgings with certain mechanical properties, certain shape and size. Through forging can eliminate the defects such as loose cast state produced in the smelting process of metal, optimize the microstructure structure, at the same time because of the preservation of a complete metal streamline, the mechanical properties of the forging is generally better than the same material castings. Forgings are mostly used for the important parts with high load and severe working conditions in the relevant machinery, except for the simple plate, profile or welding parts that can be rolled.
