Intel launches new PC** HP supports Ultrabook

Intel Launches New PC Revolution HP Supports Ultrabook In order to counter the proliferation of mobile devices such as smart phones and tablet PCs equipped with ARM processors, Intel has invested heavily in the Ultrabook, a new concept of lightweight ultra-portable notebooks, and has announced that manufacturers who support this concept offer awards. Subsequently, Asustek introduced the first Ultrabook concept UX21. Today, foreign media said that HP has also joined Intel's new concept team.

According to sources in Taiwan, Hewlett-Packard, who has been less interested in CULV, joined the Ultrabook team and, in addition to receiving awards, opened a new breakthrough for the declining notebook market share. It is generally believed that the addition of PC leader Hewlett-Packard will greatly enhance the shipment of Intel Ultrabook platform processors.

Although just joined, HP has performed particularly aggressively. Two new machines have been introduced. They use the Intel Ultra-Thin dual-core processor Core i7-2677M (1.8GHz) and Core i7-2637M (1.7GHz). The official price of the processor is 317 dollars and 289 dollars respectively.

It should be noted that Intel previously promised that the price of Ultrabook notebooks would be around US$1,000. However, according to Intel’s new processor platform price, it accounts for about one-third of the total cost. It seems that HP and Asus want to make Ultrabook notebooks. The price is under $1,000, and the difficulty is even higher than expected.

According to Hewlett-Packard insiders, although ASUS took the lead in launching the Ultrabook concept's first UX21, HP intends to have its Ultrabook listed first. Currently, they are already handed over by Hon Hai and are expected to be available between the end of August and the beginning of September.
