The five lowest-end Sandy Bridges are going to "stop cooking"

Not only the three old platforms of LGA775, LGA1366, and LGA1156 are about to retire, but even the latest LGA1155 Sandy Bridge has embarked on a “no return”, and the first five models that are about to stop production and delisting have been announced. Are the low-end models of each series.

The first is the Core i5-2300. In fact, it appeared on the delisting road map of the old platform recently disclosed. It was scheduled to stop production in December this year, and delisted in the second quarter of next year; followed by the Core i3-2100T, entry-level 35W low power model. Both were released at the beginning of 2011 and are the first members of the Sandy Bridge family. Their positions will be replaced by Core i5-2310 and Core i3-2120T respectively. The latter two models are all clocked at 100MHz.

Next three Pentium G840s, G620s and G620Ts will be introduced in the second quarter and will be replaced by faster Pentium G850s, G630s, and G630Ts, respectively. It is indeed too fast to release just six months after release. However, given the recent relentless movement of Intel in the low-end market and the continuous release of new models, this speed can be understood.

Orders for the above five processors will not be cancelled or returned after June 29, 2012. The final shipment date will be December 7, 2012, and the boxed version will be available.

In addition, the 5 series chipsets will also be suspended for delisting one after another. The deadline is exactly the same as that of the above-mentioned processors, and the shipment will be stopped after one year.
