The serum contains flocculent precipitates, what are they and how to deal with them? Recently, a sophomore student named Wang Yu conducted an experiment and found that the serum contained some flocculent precipitates. He reached out to us for help and clarification.
Based on our extensive experience, these precipitates are typically composed of fibrin and lipoproteins. This is a normal occurrence and does not affect the quality or performance of the product. If you want to remove the precipitate, you can either centrifuge the serum at 400g for 1-2 minutes or let it settle naturally at the bottom of the container. Then, carefully transfer the serum into a new sterile vial. However, we strongly advise against filtering the serum to remove the precipitate, as this may clog the filter and reduce its effectiveness.
In most cases, shaking the serum gently and warming it up to 37°C will cause the precipitate to dissolve again. Therefore, when using the serum, it's recommended to shake it well and warm it to 37°C before use. This should make the precipitate disappear naturally without any issues.
