At the 2017 Hubei New Energy Vehicle Green Capacity Sharing Platform Promotion Conference, Xinwo Yunli entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with over ten local logistics and distribution companies in Hubei, including ZJS, Wuhan Jingchang Logistics, and Enshi Anjieda Logistics. This partnership aims to establish the first new energy vehicle green capacity sharing platform in Hubei, laying the foundation for a more sustainable and efficient transportation network in the region. The initiative is expected to support Wuhan's development as a national logistics hub. The new energy vehicle green capacity sharing platform will operate using an innovative O2O (online-to-offline) model, focusing on time-sharing of electric logistics vehicles. Users will be able to access the platform online, where they can find information about available vehicles, book them, and manage services such as leasing, charging, and maintenance. This digital approach ensures convenience and efficiency for both logistics companies and drivers. Under this sharing model, logistics companies can rent electric vehicles directly from the platform, eliminating the need for large upfront investments in purchasing and maintaining their own fleets. This not only reduces operational costs but also helps local enterprises increase their profitability. For drivers, the platform offers a flexible way to earn income by renting out electric vehicles through a mobile app. They can easily reserve a vehicle, pick it up from designated locations, and start working right away. Du Heng, Vice President of Xinwo Transportation, emphasized that the concept of sharing has gained widespread acceptance, especially with the popularity of shared bicycles and vehicles. He pointed out that the shared platform model for electric logistics vehicles could revolutionize the traditional heavy-asset logistics industry, significantly lowering operating costs. For example, a 4.2-meter van traveling 70,000 kilometers annually could save over 120,000 yuan in five years, based on current fuel prices. The platform’s big data center allows real-time monitoring of vehicle performance, enabling quick responses to low battery levels. Mobile charging units can recharge vehicles rapidly—up to 80% in just 10 minutes—making the process as fast as refueling. By combining fixed charging stations with mobile charging solutions, the platform ensures high operational efficiency and minimal downtime. This groundbreaking initiative marks a major step forward in the development of green logistics in Hubei. As more companies adopt this model, the future of transportation looks increasingly eco-friendly and cost-effective.
