In 2017, at the Hubei New Energy Vehicle Green Capacity Sharing Platform Promotion Conference, Xinwo Yunli signed a strategic cooperation agreement with over ten local logistics companies in Hubei, including ZJS, Wuhan Jingchang Logistics, and Enshi Anjieda Logistics. Together, they aimed to establish the first new energy vehicle green capacity sharing platform in Hubei. This initiative is expected to build a green transportation network across the region and support Wuhan in becoming a national logistics hub.
A recent image highlights the launch of this groundbreaking platform, showcasing its potential to transform the logistics industry through innovative shared mobility solutions. The platform will operate using an O2O (online-to-offline) model, allowing users to access electric logistics vehicles on a time-sharing basis. Through online platforms, users can rent, charge, maintain, and pay for electric vehicles seamlessly.
Logistics companies can benefit by renting vehicles directly from the platform, reducing the need for large capital investments in purchasing and maintaining vehicles. This model helps lower operational costs while enabling companies to generate revenue more efficiently. For drivers, the platform offers a convenient way to earn income by simply reserving a vehicle via an app, picking it up from designated locations, and completing their tasks quickly and easily.
Du Heng, Vice President of Xinwo Transportation, noted that as shared mobility concepts like bike and car sharing become more mainstream, the idea of sharing electric logistics vehicles is gaining traction. He emphasized that this model could revolutionize traditional logistics, which often relies on heavy asset ownership. By adopting a shared approach, logistics companies can significantly cut down on operating expenses. For example, a 4.2-meter van could save over 120,000 yuan in five years by avoiding fuel and maintenance costs.
Additionally, the platform's big data center allows real-time monitoring of vehicle performance. If a vehicle needs charging, mobile charging units can be dispatched promptly. With fast-charging technology, vehicles can reach 80% charge in just 10 minutes—comparable to refueling a traditional vehicle. Combining fixed charging stations with mobile charging options ensures high operational efficiency.
