Hong Kong Microtek plans to invest in LED chip factory in Guangzhou

Micro-Crystal was founded in Hong Kong in 2003 and entered Nansha, Guangzhou in 2006. It relies on the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology's Nansha Huo Yingdong Research Institute to develop in the Mainland. Now the company has cooperated with TCL in the field of high-power rear-projection lighting. Xiao Guowei It said that due to the international leading chip technology of microcrystals, the company has won the investment of the global optoelectronic giant, wafer optoelectronics.

In order to expand production capacity, based on the completion of investment of 100 million yuan, Micro-Crystal will invest 1 billion in two phases in Nansha in May this year to build a large-scale LED chip base. After the project is put into production, the annual output value will reach more than 2 billion.

It is reported that Guangdong-Hong Kong Science and Technology Cooperation has a solid foundation in Nansha, relying on the Guangzhou Institute of Industrial Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Huo Yingdong Research Institute of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the Modern Industrial Technology Research Institute of the Ministry of Education, and other high-level public innovation service platforms. Establish a sound regional innovation service system.
