This time I worked on a Skyworth 32-inch LCD TV model 32L01HM. The main issue was that the TV displayed a normal image but had no sound. After opening the case, I accidentally touched the audio board and noticed it was overheating. I immediately disconnected the power and assumed the audio block might be damaged. Since I didn’t have a replacement part on hand, I decided to check the surrounding components first.
While inspecting the circuit, I found a 35V 1000UF capacitor that showed signs of a short circuit. I removed it and tested it, confirming the fault. I quickly replaced it with a similar one, expecting a quick fix. However, after reassembling the unit, I turned it on and was surprised—there was still no sound. I continued troubleshooting and eventually discovered another nearby capacitor that was also shorted. I replaced that one as well and did a full test again.
To my relief, the TV came back to life with clear and loud audio. I let it run for some time and checked the temperature of the audio board—it was normal. The problem was finally resolved. This experience taught me the importance of checking all related components, even if they appear visually fine. Both capacitors looked good, with no bulging or leakage, which made the diagnosis a bit tricky.
