This time, I repaired a Skyworth 32L01HM LCD TV. The issue was that the TV displayed a normal image but had no sound. After disassembling the unit and checking the audio circuit, I accidentally touched the audio block, which became very hot. I immediately disconnected the power and thought the audio block might be damaged. Since I didn't have a replacement at hand, I decided to check the surrounding components first.

During my inspection, I found a 35V 1000µF capacitor that was shorted. I removed it and tested it, confirming the short. I replaced it with a similar model, hoping that would fix the problem. However, after the replacement, the TV still had no sound. I wasn’t giving up, so I continued to investigate further.

After some more troubleshooting, I discovered another nearby capacitor that was also shorted. I replaced that one as well and retested the TV. To my surprise, the sound returned—clear and loud! I did a long-term test, and the audio block remained cool, indicating the fault had been successfully resolved.

This repair taught me that sometimes the root cause of an issue isn’t always obvious. It's easy to jump to conclusions, but taking the time to carefully inspect all related components can save a lot of headaches. Also, even capacitors that look good on the surface can still fail internally without any visible signs like bulging or leakage.

I hope this experience helps others who may encounter similar issues. Sometimes, the smallest parts can make the biggest difference. Don’t skip the basics—always double-check everything before assuming the worst.
