Product Name: Slag Ball Content Analyzer
Product Manual:
First, the use of slag ball content analyzer:
In accordance with GB/T 5480.5-2008, this device is designed for testing the slag ball content in mineral wool and its products. It can analyze the slag ball content in glass wool, slag wool, rock wool, aluminum silicate cotton, and related products. The analyzer features a compact design, elegant appearance, and high practicality, making it an essential tool in laboratories.
Second, steps for using the slag ball content analyzer:
1. Preparation of Sample:
Follow GB/T 5480.5-2004 to select the sample size and cut the full thickness of the sample to about 11g. For glass wool and its products, burn at (500±20)°C for 30 minutes; for silicate cotton and its products, burn at (700±20)°C for 30 minutes. Remove the binder and weigh accurately to 0.01g. The number of samples should be as specified by the product standard, but not less than three.
2. Pressing the Sample:
Place the weighed sample into the corresponding sample cylinder and manually press it using the press.
3. Wetting the Sample:
Take out the pressed sample and place it into a 250mL measuring cup. Add 50mL of surfactant solution and stir thoroughly to ensure the fibers are wetted and dispersed in the solution.
4. Separation Test:
Transfer all the sample into the separation cylinder. Turn on the water flow to maintain a rate of 60mL/min until the fibers are fully suspended in the water. Then increase the flow to (120–180)mL/min and continue for approximately 10 minutes. Once the water is clear, open the discharge valve and allow the slag balls to be flushed through the sieve according to the product standard. Check the fiber collector for any remaining slag balls and repeat the process if necessary.
5. Drying:
Place the sieve containing the slag balls into an electric drying oven and dry at 105–110°C for at least 20 minutes.
6. Sieving:
Transfer the dried slag balls into the standard sieve specified by the product standard. Add three ceramic balls with a diameter of (20±1)mm, cover the sieve, and run the sieve shaker for 15 minutes.
7. Weighing:
Weigh the sieved slag balls using a balance with an accuracy of 0.01g.
