Kyocera Corporation has introduced the CM01 series of multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs), available in the 008004 size, which was officially launched in China this December. This new product is designed to meet the growing demands of modern electronics, especially in smartphones and wearable devices, where compactness and performance are key.
The CM01 series represents a significant advancement in component miniaturization. With dimensions of just 0.25 × 0.125 × 0.125 mm, it reduces the volume by 75% compared to the existing 01005 size MLCCs. The footprint on the circuit board is also cut by 60%, making it ideal for high-density mounting in increasingly compact devices. This allows manufacturers to design smaller, more powerful gadgets without compromising on functionality.
In addition to its small size, the CM01 series offers enhanced electrical performance. It meets tight tolerance specifications and delivers a Q value that is over 20% higher than previous models. This makes it particularly suitable for power amplifier modules that require high efficiency and stable operation under demanding conditions.
