CustomPlay, a Florida-based firm in the U.S., has accused Apple's fourth-generation Apple TV of infringing on its patented subtitle rewind technology. This feature allows users to use voice commands to rewind videos by 10 to 15 seconds and temporarily display subtitles during playback. Max Abecassis, the founder of CustomPlay, claimed that he had developed this concept years ago and secured a patent for it back in 1998.

Apple appears keen on integrating more voice capabilities into its Apple TV.
