The full name of MP3 is MPEG Audio Layer 3, and the MPEG compression format is a set of standards on video and sound formulated by the Motion Picture Experts Group (MoTIon Picture Experts Group), where MP3 is designed to compress sound signals as a new type of audio Signal compression format standard. The CD record frequency is 44.1MHz, 16Bits, and the data volume is 1.4Mbps, while the corresponding MP3 data volume is only 112kbps or 128kbps, which is 1/12 of the original data volume. That is to say, a traditional CD can now store 10 times or more capacity of music, but it sounds no different in human ears. The working principle of the MP3 Walkman is actually very simple. It is to use the control chip (CPU) to control the decoding chip and the LCD screen. The decoding chip decodes the MP3 file or WMA format file in the built-in flash memory or the external flash memory card. Then through digital to analog conversion, and finally output from the headphones.
MP3 players use a digital signal processor DSP (Digital Sign Processer) to complete the tasks of processing transmission and decoding MP3 files. The DSP controls the data transmission of the Walkman, device interface control, file decoding and playback and other activities. DSP can complete a variety of processing tasks in a very short time, and the energy consumed by this process is very small (this is also a significant feature of its suitability for portable players).
First remove the MP3 song file from the memory and read the signal on the memory → go to the decoding chip to decode the signal → convert the digital signal solved into an analog signal through a digital-to-analog converter → then amplify the converted analog audio → After the low-pass filtering, it will reach the headphone output port. After the output, it will be the music we have heard.
